What is PillGuard?
An IoMT pill dispenser which can prevent patients from taking medications too often, more often, or less often than needed with tamperproof mechanisms and the ability to record the patient’s delivery schedule to promote more compliance, specifically with controlled substances which have the ability to cause overdose and addiction. PillGuard will better duplicate pill bottles in size and shape allowing portability, and providing safety. Furthermore, PillGuard will accumulate information concerning patient’s request for medication, which will both help better prevent noncompliance as well as dependency and/or addiction.
